This stunning sculpture of Buddha is completely one-of-a-kind, consisting of two mediums of bronze and one solid piece of lava stone. The Buddha is seated on a tall stone base in the Bhumisparsha Mudra or earth touching gesture with his right hand extended towards the ground and his left hand resting in his lap with a lotus in the Dhyana Mudra of meditation. The face is round and smiling, with high curving highbrows, a hooked nose and mostly narrow lips. There is a godly halo surrounding the Buddha's face. The stone base is beautifully decorated with lots of growing lotus flowers and a small Buddha seated in full lotus position atop a blooming lotus on the side. The patina is perfect with a light antique verde-gris bronze contrasts beautifully with the natural gray color of the stone.

► About Lava Stone: The lava stone used was quarried in the volcanic mountains of Indonesia. The lava stone is a solid stone that is perfect for any type of location and weather conditions, hot or cold, wet or dry. The stone is versatile in that it can be colored in a wide spectrum of colors. It can also be polished or unpolished giving giving it a clean or rough feel. In humid conditions if it is left untouched it takes on a very mysterious, antique, worn look like you would see in the temple ruins of south east Asia.
