Batak Piso Gajah Knife<\/strong><\/p>\n

A finely cast traditional Batak Piso Gajah<\/em> knife from North Sumatra, Indonesia, featuring an elegantly curved sheath and hilt decorated with ancestral human figures and intricate spiral ornamentation. The sheath and handle are crafted in brass with a dark aged patina, while the long iron blade retains its traditional utilitarian form.<\/p>\n

Among the Batak peoples \u2014 particularly the Toba and Karo Batak \u2014 the piso<\/em> was more than a weapon.
