Old Iban Skirt Bidang With Indigo Border

This skirt is called bidang or kain kebat in Borneo. Worn by woman for special occasion and festival. They are hand woven with the ikat technique and the color are from natural dye. This piece has a fine design and indigo colored borders which are consider an exclusive color to be embedded in such textile.  Beautiful borders with minor tear. Age estimate about 100 yrs .
