Antique Dayak Ngaju Healing Charm

An old healing charm from the Ngaju tribe of Borneo. Charm amulets were used by the Ngaju Dayak peoples to ward off enemies, provide protection in war, and to bring good fortune and health. In times of illness and distress the shaman might take small chips of wood from the talisman and from these chips prepare a remedy.
