Dayak tribe in Borneo use such spatula for ritual during the rice festival ‘Gawai’.

Gawai is the harvesting festival and such spatula are use to offer the Gods or their ancestor Rice that is serve in wooden bowl before they are consume.

This Ritual is a scared prentice to appease the ancestors in hope of good fortune for the future.

This spatula are made of belian wood and are carved with ancestor figure.

Condition – pls view picture to see the condition. they are 3 spatula that have scratch marks, possibly from mice as they we normally left over night on ritual post.
