This instrument call sape used by the Dayak Bahau tribe. Collected from east Borneo from Ulu Mahakam. Made of wood painted with indigenous design of the Udo face which are made up of numerous Aso figures on the face and on both side of the instrument. The handle is also carved with an Aso dragon and when turn upside down it represents an pair of aso twine together creating the whole piece like a Dragon. The art work of such style is very original and empowering.

Minor condition at the bottom part of the Sape Due to hash condition in long house. Lucky it was save and preserved. Item sold as is. View pictures for details.
