Dayak Kenyah Mandau Hilt

This is a dayak mandau hilt made of deer antler by kenyah tribes. The Kenyah are excellent carver and make wonderful carving from the deer antler. This hilt is carved with multiple characteristic such as an Aso dragon, hornbill, leech, a war guardian and a jungle spirit protecting a little child. Although this hilt looks simple but when you turn in every corner you will see a different  character of the dayak mythological characters. The Dayak believe that the heart of a sword lies in the handle.
