Dayak are fond of  smoking especially when they are working on carvings or hand work. Such smoking pipe is a personal objects and made for the purpose of pleasure. Intricately carve with traditional dayak motif and symbols like the aso, dragon, tendrill motif and a figure. Such symbols are representative of social ranking and would only be use for an important member of the tribes. The Head of the pipe is made of buffalo horn and the pipe is carved from a single piece of deer horn.
