Dayak Traditional Tattoo Tools Kit With Custom Display

Borneo traditional tattooing is a hand tapping style of tattooing with two sticks, developed by Inland Dayak tribes of Borneo. This beautiful example consists of two needles, two tappers, and one small ink bowl. Mythological ‘Aso’ dragon and anthropomorphic figural needle stick heads as well as ink tray are carved from antler. Each tapper and needle stick is brilliantly fitted with buffalo ring finial. This kit was made in east Borneo. Sets that include antler carvings are becoming difficult to find. In excellent condition and comes with custom mount.
