Green Axe Stone From Papua Indonesia With Carved Figure.

In Papua they is a unique tradition of cutting off fingers by the dani tribe when an immediate family member has pass. Such ceremonies were perform by using a green stone axe attach with a figure on top. This axe normally would consist of 2 figure one top , however one figure was remove from the top as a representation of the remaining pair. Evidence of the  removal can be seen as only the feet of the figure only remain. See photo for details.
