This rare Tun Tun Pantu is a traditional Dayak Iban protective charm, crafted from a single piece ironwood (Belian), known for its durability and spiritual significance. It is used by the Iban people of Borneo as a protective totem, typically placed at the edge of the village or within longhouses to ward off evil spirits and ensure safety.

At the top of the Tun Tun, there is a carved figure representing a shaman wearing a mask. This figure is depicted in a contemplative or watchful posture, with hands resting against its face, symbolizing wisdom, protection, and a deep connection to the spiritual realm. The exaggerated facial features, intricate carvings, and geometric base patterns reflect traditional Iban artistic and spiritual motifs.
