Melanau Charm ‘ Belum ‘ Healing Figure

‘Bilum ‘ is a healing figure used by melanau tribes in sarawak . They are a minority in Borneo and are highly sophisticated culture. They used such figure to heal their sick and to ward away bad omens. The culture of this tribes are little known as they are a minority and very secretive about their practice as it is consider taboo in their society. Such figure are very rare as normally they are burn or dispose. It is made of the sago pits and is very light. collected in the 80s  from sibu.
