Old Sarawak sculpture Of Head Hunter Carrying A Jar By Local Artist

This sculpture is from the 60s and was made by kenyah kayan head hunter. They were an initiative  of the tribe of the continuity of wood carving. The kayan kenyah were one of the best carver in the state of Sarawak. Made of a single piece of tropical ironwood this sculpture is a executed in precision and detail, from the tattoos to the details of the jar lid.
