Old Borneo Dayak Bahau Baby Carrier ‘Ba’

The ‘Ba’ is a baby carrier use by the Dayak tribe. Most are made of rattan decorated with bead and accessories however the this wooden baby carrier is from the Bahau tribe from the mountain area where they are very difficult to access. Such baby carrier are used for ceremonies and to carry their child. The frame is made of a whole singular piece of wood carved with 3 godly faces with eyes decorated with coconut shell ,sea shell and intricately carved with bahau dayak prominent design of the aso and traditional motif.
