Old Sarawak Couple Carving of Orang ulu From Belian Wood.

This Wood carving are made by the orang ulu artisan in the 60s. They represent a pair of aristocratic orang ulu couple with their long ear loops which only prominent members of the tribe are allow to perform and they ornament, tattoo and hair style. This could be made for a wedding gift or bust for prominent member. Made of single piece of ironwood each piece are hand carved with extreme precision as they are extremely hard to work with. This carvings are iconic to our Sarawak haritage are magnificent for interior design and collection.
